God's not dead

Jade has been singing this song (or parts of it, rather) all week long.

The song is "God's Not Dead" by the Newsboys. The lyrics Jade has been repeating are: "My God's not dead. He's surely alive. He's living on the inside. Roaring like a lion. My God's not dead. He's surely alive. Living on the inside. Roaring like a lion. My God's not dead..."

You get the idea, right? Quite often I give it my best shot to try and tune out the repetitive things that Jade comes up with. I honestly think it is a God-given ability that has been instilled into us as mothers... to tune out our kids as needed for our own sanity. :o)

But words like these are ones that I don't want to tune out. Even when you hear them over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again for endless days upon endless days. C'mon now - for any of you who know Jade (my precious sweet angel) - you know that I am not anywhere near exaggerating. Pinky swear.

I love it when God speaks directly to my need through my kids. After about two days of Jade singing these lyrics I heard God speaking to my heart. (Yes, I am a very slow learner.) Here is what I heard,

"Sara, I am working. Working through what seems dead to you. Recognize Me, Sara."
