holding on

So yesterday night was one of the toughest times yet dealing with all this "stuff". Ugh. I won't go into the details, but it still makes my heart hurt. It may always. Yes, I think this pain is here to stay... Just the one thing that I knew that I would have to deal with for the rest of this life here on earth if we followed Him into missions. The one thing that kept me from following the Lord's will for my life and our family for way too many years... My girls' hearts broken and hurting because of the missionary life style.

Then today I heard my girls singing these words. I have heard this song before, but the words struck new meaning after last night. And some how for me it's always the simple little things that give me the most comfort. I know they are hurting, but I know that the Lord is growing them up in Him for a life beyond their (and their momma's) wildest dreams.

Lord Jesus please heal their hurt and my broken momma heart too. We are holding on to You.
