the perfect recipe
there are so many things floating through my head, but my tired eyes and achy body will along allow my brain a few moments to try and communicate just a glimpse of something from tonight. and so I give you my recipe for my perfect evening, March 17, 2012.
9 churches. 4 denominations. in one place together worshiping the one and only living God.
mix in my high school principal from Indonesia. my childhood pastor. my former youth pastor. my grandmother. my parents. Marty's family. new friends. old friends. relationships grown, nurtured and built not because of our family but because we share the same goal. serving God through reaching the Bibleless.
toss in smiles, hugs, laughter, kisses, a few good pinches (it was St. Patty's day...), tears, good food and good coffee combined with the ingredients above = perfect fellowship.
now pair this perfect fellowship with a beautiful display of love, prayer, honor, and service to show my children how precious they are.
then toss into this mix, God-fearing and Bible-teaching inspired men of the Lord bringing encouragements and challenges, and add the key ingredient by smothering these realities with the perfectly powerful presence of the Holy Spirit and you have for yourself more than you can ask or imagine.
tonight was ordained by our perfect God, and I am forever grateful to Him.
