perfectly loved
My dear, dear friends, if God loved us like this, we certainly ought to love each other. No one has seen God, ever. But if we love one another, God dwells deeply within us, and His love becomes complete in us—perfect love!
1John 4:11,12 The Message
This was our first week of being "official" missionaries... not that we were not committed to missions before, but that now we are only committed to missions. It was scary to step out in faith - trusting that we were within God's will to walk away from a salary earning income. God has fully affirmed Himself and our first big step towards lifetime commitment to missions this week through a wide variety of people. One thing after another... and what should have been by the world's standards our first week of not being able to pay the bills... and four separate gifts later all the things (dsl, water, car payment, and insurance) that we were responsible for paying have been paid in full.
I know and have been fully reassured this week that God is not only able to meet our immediate needs but that He will continue to do through His ways and in His timing... He isn't late in our house selling. He isn't late with our support raising. He knows all the teeny tiny details like running water... and He will meet and take care of and provide the big ones too. He is so concerned and such a part of all the little things... I feel His presence and love. I know He is in control. He won't let me see much further ahead that today, but He knows what is coming next and how the pieces of our support team will continue to be knit together in perfection.
This week I have especially been able to feel God's love through the love of others. Our family is NOT in this alone... God has a plan for our present and for our future.
