questions, answers & promises

Wondering if I am being punished? Yeah.
Wondering if I am being tested? Yup.
Wondering how long I can sustain... feeling broken enough already.


In the last two weeks we have lost all salaried income, had to sell a car to pay our mortgage, had to replace a hot water heater, and now have a broken heat and air unit...




And then I read this: Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. (Phillipians 4:13)


If and when we make it through whatever it is that we are supposed to be learning... I know the One who will carry us through. 

For now - I wait - wait for the ability to keep our heads above water. Trusting that if we stay in this same place He will sustain me here too.


Feeling hopeless. Yeah, a bit... 
Giving up? Considering only a partial meltdown... while I am claiming these promises for today:


May the God of green hope fill you up with JOY, fill you up with PEACE, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving ENERGY of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with HOPE!

P.S. I am adding this comment a few hours later and a many miracles later... the deductible for my AC repair was given to us in a gift tonight (the exactly matching dollar amount)!!
